SPRING DRILLINGS - A SHORT FILM
Follow this link to a brilliant short film from Tarquin Millington Drake of him decoying pigeons on spring drillings.
You can glean a lot of information from films like this. His timing of the shot as the bird commits. Personally I would have my net a bit tighter as I don’t like mine flapping about in the breeze. I have also asked him why he has two clickers (It is perhaps one for shots, one for kills).
I like to note exactly how many cartridges I take with me before I start - that way I am not distracted by the ratio on my clickers I just get on and shoot. Whatever cartridges I bring home means I know how many I shot and how many birds are on the clicker. Then I can see how close I am to The Golden Ratio.
